Our Ministries
Preschool
We take seriously our responsibility to care for young
children and will do everything possible to ensure that their time with us
will be a safe and positive experience. Preschool care and activities are
offered for Babies-age 4 during the 8:30 AM worship service and for
Babies-Kindergarten during the 11 AM worship service.
Children
The Children's
Ministry of First Baptist Church partners with parents to help children
learn biblical truths, laying a foundation for salvation and
Christian living. We believe that children are very important to God, and
we're dedicated to providing an excellent ministry for them. We
strive to support the whole family, providing teaching and help for both
parents and children. We consider it a privilege to work with children
and to help them become followers of Jesus Christ. Our church offers many
different ministries and activities for children such as graded bible study
classes, Awana Clubs, Vacation Bible School, Royal Ambassadors, Girls In
Action, and our annual Fall Fun Feast and Easter Egg Hunt.
Youth
We have a very active and engaging youth ministry here at First Baptist Church. Our students, grades 7th though 12th, meet every Sunday morning at 9:45 AM in the youth room. They also meet every Wednesday night in the youth room at 7 AM for the X-Life. Throughout the year our youth are involved many activities such as summer camps, mission trips, gym nights, and ski retreats. The purpose of our youth ministry is to honor God, love students, reach them for Christ and help them grow in their faith. Come be a part of it!
Special Needs
Abounding Love is our ministry to the developmentally disabled. This class meets at 9:45 AM on Sundays. They also participate in a special Vacation
Bible School.
Senior Adults
Our senior adult group is very active as well. In addition to the senior adult Bible study
groups offered, a potluck luncheon and program are held at 11 AM the second
Tuesday of each month. Also our JOY
group (Just Older Youth) schedules monthly field trips to close by points of
interest.
Bible Study Groups
First Baptist Church
strongly believes in the truth of the Bible and its value for our daily lives.
So we invite people of all ages – from the youngest baby to the oldest senior
adult – to attend Bible study groups at 9:45 AM Sundays. Our Bible study groups
focus on helping you discover and fulfill God’s plan for your life, introducing
you to friends who will care for you in good times and bad and giving you an
opportunity to serve others – and to receive ministry when you need it.
Music
Our adult choir, hand bell choir,
instrumental ensembles and contemporary praise team provide inspiring music for
worship and give many opportunities for service.
